Rosana Rodriguez

FOUNDER & CEO

Rosana Rodriguez born in NYC to parents who migrated from The Dominican Republic in 1963. They planted roots in Washington Heights where Rosana and her siblings were born and raised. Rosana has become a visionary for wellness within her community, but she has a background in design and extensive experience related to advocacy for underserved communities and victims of domestic violence. Growing up in a Latino home, yoga and meditation were foreign, but since yoga saved her life, Rosana feels a tremendous responsibility to share this practice in Spanish so that Latinos and others may have an opportunity to experience healing at this level. Rosana founded this #projectoflove called Yogiando NYC in 2017 while training under Josh Summers, Summers School of Yin Yoga, Jennifer Reis for Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra. She became a ChangeMaker leading with love by earning her RYT-200hr from Breathe for Change.

Our Mission

TRANSFORMING LATINO COMMUNITIES THROUGH WELLNESS

Yogiando NYC is the first fully bilingual English/Spanish yoga studio in Washington Heights, New York. The studio was founded in the summer of 2017 under the direction of Yin Yoga Teacher and native of The Heights, Rosana Rodriguez. Through Yin Yoga, we use a gentle and passive approach - emphasizing stillness and awareness. Integrating guided meditations, our students enjoy deeper body, mind and spiritual experiences.
